Black Head Surf Life Saving Club was formed at a public meeting held at the Taree School of Arts hall on 25th September 1925. The convener of this meeting was Mr F.C. Postle.
At this meeting, the following members of Black Head Surf Life Saving Club were elected:

Back in 1925, Black Head Surf Life Saving Club started out with only a handful of members, today we proudly have over 250 members in the Club.
For well over 90 years, the members of Black Head Surf Life Saving Club have been providing a valuable community service to the residents of the Halliday’s Point area and its visitors. It is a remarkable achievement that everyone who has been a member of the Club can be proud of.
