Surf Life Saving Education

surf-awareness-01Training is an essential component of Surf Life Saving. As part of the Surf Life Saving movement, our surf lifesavers are trained to high standards.

A number of awards (training courses) are available for members on a regular basis throughout the year.

Those wanting to join the Club and become a volunteer surf lifesaver will need to attain their Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion as a starting point. There are also other important roles (and awards) for those not wanting to get in the water such as Senior First Aid Certificate, Spinal Certificate etc. that we offer through the club.

Surf Life Saving NSW is a Registered Training Organisation so many of the certificates / awards delivered by our Club trainers, or arranged through Surf Life Saving Lower North Coast Branch, can lead to an Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) qualification or Statement of Attainment.

Further detailed information on this aspect of the certificates/awards is available on the Surf Life Saving New South Wales website
